Stand up to Anxiety and Panic

You Can Take Back Your Life…

Does it feel like anxiety has taken over your life? Is it messing with your social life or your work?

Maybe you are afraid of having a panic attack in front of people,  so you stay home. Maybe you don’t have panic attacks, but just worry yourself sick a lot.   You feel you are missing out, so you drag yourself out to do things. Then you are miserable the whole time, anxious and distressed.

Sadly, many people suffer for years, not knowing how treatable anxiety is.

I help people get from fear and panic to calmness, confidence and enthusiasm.

If you are feeling stuck, and can’t get past your anxiety and panic, it may be time to reach out for help. Maybe you have been using self help books and have reached an impasse. Maybe you have had therapy before, and got discouraged because your panic was not dealt with directly.

I help people by using tools that work, and by respecting each person’s ideas on what might work best for them.  My approach is eclectic, meaning it comes from a variety of sources. Everyone is unique, so there is no “one size fits all” way.

I myself suffered with anxiety and panic, a couple of decades ago. I have not forgotten how terrifying it was, or what a relief it was to get help from a therapist who understood.

Wouldn’t it feel good to enjoy life again? To have more inner peace  and self confidence? Let me help you make that a reality. My passion is to help people calm their fears, and take steps toward the kind of life they want to live.

About some people I helped…*

* The stories given are each composites of several people’s stories. Any resemblance to a particular individual would be coincidental. I do not reveal personal information on any current or former client.

Jack had a history of anxiety and panic attacks, and his fear of having one in public was keeping him from getting out and enjoying life. After a short time in therapy, he was getting out more and feeling more confident. “My comfort zone is expanding in big ways. I am doing more things without having to take anxiety medication.” *

Jill was under a lot of stress at work. She developed some physical problems which seemed related to stress anxiety. After getting medical treatment,  she still felt stressed  out at work, and continued snapping at coworkers. After a brief time in therapy, she found a new perspective and felt happier at work. *

Jan was going through some major life changes and started having panic attacks. She had taken medication in the past, and did not want to get back on it.  Soon after starting therapy, she started feeling much braver and more confident in her endeavors. And she was proud of herself for doing this without any medication.  *
